The year 2017 has not been just to gospel musician Ike Nanor. Life has not been easy for the musician who has an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School.
The legendary Praise & Worship Leader, Choir Director and Vocal Coach in the year 2017 has lost two close relatives, his child and mother-in-law. Ike Nanor speaking to Zionfelix.net at the launch of his self-organized concert, ‘The Legend Live In Concert’ in Accra said he lost his mother-in-law six months ago and his two-year child son, Jude four months after.
He described 2017 as the toughest year in his life due to the problems he has faced but he believes God wants him to release an album despite the trouble. Ike Nanor who released his first album in 2006 telling Zionfelix.net what stopped him from releasing his next album after the maiden one eleven years ago stated that he faced several challenges in life.
Mr. Nanor who was not willing to mention some of the problems he encountered after the release of his first album revealed that he thought of giving up on music when facing these challenges but God empowered him to sail through the mess.
Ike Nanor organises ‘The Legend Live In Concert’ on November 18, 2017, at the The Maker’s House Chapel to record his second album, “Orengyaw Me”. The recording of the album will feature renowned gospel musicians like Mary Ghansah, OJ, Cynthia of Daughters of Glories Jesus fame.
The album he said will be released this year.

Ike has an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance from Central University, Ghana and currently works with Central University as an assistant registrar (Finance); Ike is married to Juliana Nanor and together they have a son.
Ike Nanor is a native of Somanya in the Eastern Region and the first and only son among four children of Jacob and Vida Nanor. He attended Pope John’s Memoir Seminary in Koforidua in Eastern Region between 1993-1995.
