Veteran Ghanaian highlife musician, K.K. Kabobo has blamed presenters who play music on radio and TV for the loss of the love for authentic highlife music by most Ghanaians.

Speaking to Onua TV’s Christian Agyei Frimpong on a special edition of the ‘Anigye Mmere’ show last night, K.K. Kabobo said the manner most of these presenters talk about highlife music and the description they give it when they are about to play these songs on either radio or TV is not the best.

He stated that many a time, these presenters will tell their listeners/viewers that they are about to play ‘adadamu’, which literally means old songs in English anytime they are about to play highlife music on their platforms.

The “Atenmuda” hitmaker bemoaned that these type of description puts people off because they tend to feel that the song is old so they is no need to listen to them at all.

K.K. Kabobo also called all presenters to do better for highlife music so that the love for it will be back.
