Nana Yirenkyi I, the Apesemakahene of Mampong Akwapim has indicated that Roemond Brown famed as Akuapem Poloo, failed to prove that she is from Akwapim.
While speaking in an interview with Accra FM’s Nana Romeo, Nana Yirenkyi I, indicated that Akuapem Poloo once came before her claiming that she was from the area but she was unable to mention where specifically in Akwapim she hailed from.
He added that he still does not know the locality and house from which she claims to hail from therefore it would be difficult to call her an indigene of Akwapim.

Nana Yirenkyi I, added that he was patiently waiting for Poloo to come to him so that he takes her before the other chiefs of the area but she never showed up.
The chief then said people should stop tagging her with being an Akwapim indigene and added that she was more than welcome to come and live in the area if she liked the place.
He added that a number of celebs who he knew hailed ffrom Akwapim all followed the same procedure to prove their case.
Nana Yirenkyi I, mentioned the likes of Pope Skinny, Praye, Bisa Kdei, Koo Ntakra, KK Fosu all proved their heritage by proving the houses that they hailed from in the region.
