Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, has responded to organizations mounting pressure on him.
Prior to the release of his ‘No Pressure’ album, Sarkodie posted photos holding a cigar.
He was heavily chastised after the photos went viral on social media.

Commenting on these organizations asking him to apologize, Sarkodie questioned who he should apologize to when speaking to Andy Dosty in an interview Zionfelix.net monitored on Hitz FM.
He explained that cigar signifies celebration and he only used it as an entertainer to tell a story of victory or achievement.
Sarkodie admitted that smoking has health implications but these organizations should not wait for this to talk about what he has done can lead to due to his influence.

He added that they could have even reached out to him for them to launch a campaign against the bad effect of smoking.
