Yes, ‘Oh Paradise’ Was About A Loved One Who Died – Black Sherif Confirms Song For Deceased Girlfriend

Ghanaian musician, Mohammed Ismail Sharrif aka Black Sherif, has given details about his ‘Oh Paradise’ song.

Following the release of his ‘The Villain II Never Was’ album, it was revealed that one of the songs ‘Oh Paradise’ was about his girlfriend who died some years ago.

Blacko confirmed this in an interview with B Ice on Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi.

According to him, they lost some loved ones at Kumasi Academy in 2017-2018 after an outbreak of influenza.

Among these people, he said was his High School lover, Tina. According to him, their relationship was just chatting, tagging it ‘High School Love’.

The deceased, Clementina Konadu, sadly died at the age of seventeen (17).

Black Sherif posited that he captured the whole sad incident in the ‘Oh Paradise’ song.

Basically, the young musician said his dream marriage with Tina did not come through.

During their school days, the ‘Soja’ singer said some of his colleagues thought he would write the song at that time.

He, therefore, sent his condolence to the families of those who perished.
