The writer is Osei Chris Kofi. I have three strong passions in life — football, blogging and movies — in that order. I love spending time with friends talking about the important things in life and hate nothing more than ‘authority’ and hypocrisy. My personal believe in life is that once an individual sets his/her mind to achieve something, it is totally possible. And oh!, I am a strong Lannister, because I always pay my debt. Have you ever frantically searched for your car key, or cell phone, only to realize it was in your pocket the whole time? It is true and comical that sometimes the thing we want is so close that we don’t even notice it’s there, accessible. In this same way, this great music piece is curated and available to the right audience but it is just sitting in one corner waiting to be found.

The creative industry is welcoming a spark from Nigerian singer-songwriter, Andremussic and Boluhwf – a defiant record producer, and audio engineer who worked together to produce stunning 3-track EP, ‘Sensual’ that keeps you thirsting for more.

The project title ‘Sensual’ was not coincidental – it goes more than a mere title as it explores the unique erratic nature of the Lagos and London dating scene as experienced by the two young acts who grew up in these cities.

The first track (titled as the project – Sensual) is a complete immersion in a upbeat RnB tune that serves as the perfect sound bedrock to tell of an enchanting love affair. Andremussic and Boluhwtf deliver verses describing their feelings about this “fling”.

The follow up ‘Tonight’ is graced with alluring instrumentals but centers on a cocktail of intimacy and distrust in a relationship. Like every sexual experience, there is a state of release and realization. The last track ‘Jaga Jaga’ maintains a solemn instrumentation
awakening the acts’ need for honesty and clarity from their lover, not being satisfied with equivocal casual kind of union.

Conclusively, Sensual is a poetic body of work that tells a story of the dating lifestyle in Lagos and London from the perspective of the unique experiences of the creatives during their stay in these cities. Through this, listeners all over the world can relate to and also obtain a certain level of understanding of the dating scene in these cities as experienced by the artists This is an obvious 8/10 for me. Amazing work.
