Ghana’s King Promise has been chastised over his statement after he did not perform at Wizkid’s concert in Accra.
While the Nigerian musician did not show up at the concert, King Promise and R2Bees were other artistes who did not perform despite being announced as part of the performers.
In a statement, the Ghanaian musician also cited security and the safety of his fans as an excuse just as Wizkid also mentioned in his statement.
Unhappy about his response, Ghanaian journalist, Kwame Dadzie said King should have kept mute because the attention was on the headline artiste.

He stated that King Promise is following Wizkid, so he does not care about the people that made him.
Kwame Dadzie wrote: “Dear King Promise, You know the meaning of what you did? You insulted your fellow Ghanaian artistes that performed at the show.
You should have even kept mute cos the attention was on the headline artiste Wizkid and not YOU. Nobody needed an explanation from you.
You dey follow Wiz so you don’t even care about the people that made you. That “safety” excuse you gave is a subterfuge. You failed to mount the stage in solidarity with your boss, Wiz. You be sellout!”
