Ghanaian musician and radio presenter, Abubakar Ahmed, popularly known as Blakk Rasta, has returned awards he won some years ago.
These awards are the ones he won through voting.
Blakk said he doesn’t want to be part of any award scheme that is about voting to win.
In a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, the outspoken media personality wrote to the Ghana DJs Awards organizers on his decision to return their plaques.
He explained that selling awards to the highest bidder seems not right to him.
The 3FM presenter indicated that he is not proud of keeping the plaques.
Blakk Rasta asked them not to nominate him again until the unfortunate criterion changes to true merit awards standard.
See his statement below.
