Entertainment TV channel, Gh One has finally launched “End Tramadol Abuse Now” campaign in Accra.
The EIB Network-owned TV station on Thursday, May 24 invited renowned Ghanaian bloggers for the launch which was broadcasted on live TV from 10 in the morning. News anchor Nana Aba Anamoah who is the leader of the campaign explained to viewers, bloggers and the tramadol users at the launch the motive behind the campaign and strategies planned to curb the trouble.
Bola Ray, CEO of EIB Network speaking at the launch of the campaign applauded his employees for the good job done to help stop the abuse of the drug. He also asked the public and government to go to the aid of his media platform to solve the issue.
Ardent users of the drug who were also present at the live studio program shared their experience and what pushed them into the act.
The brand ambassador for the project, Fancy Gadam also vowed to use his influence on the youth in the Zongo communities to advise them to desist from the excessive intake of the drug.
Ghanaian bloggers who were present at the meeting also pledged to broadcast the message to the masses.
Gh One’s ‘State Of Affair’ show hosted by Nana Aba Anamoah has for the past two months been showing documentaries of the youth and aged who abuse tramadol. The factual film tells how the young men and women abuse the intake of the tramadol to destroy their lives.
