Legendary Ghanaian actor, Fred Amugi, has added his voice to the whole lookalike craze that has quickly taken over the talks on social media in the last few days.
The situation has become a worrying one in the opinion of some musicians who feel these guys going around on social media parading themselves as their lookalikes are making money off their hard-earned fame.

During a panel discussion on the United Showbiz show which airs on UTV, the recently unveiled brand ambassador of Caveman Watches advised musicians who have got some of these doppelgangers to try as much to put an end to it before it gets out of hand.
According to Uncle Fred, while some people might not have any ill intention with the claims of being a lookalike of a particular artist, others might do.
He stressed that if a particular doppelganger has ill motives against a particular musician and he decides to go to a group that is about to put an event together for money to come and perform and he/she fails to show up, it is the original musician who will face the consequences of such actions.
The ‘Borga’ movie actor used himself as an example and revealed that growing up, he was seen by many people as the late, Paul Victor Obeng KSG well-known as P. V. Obeng.
Fred Amugi added that even though he worked closely with him at the Castle back then, there was not a single instance he accepted the fact that he was PV when people even approached him with things meant for the latter.
