Ghanaian actor, Kyekyeku, has come out to offer an apology to some youth of Pakyi who felt enraged over a remark the actor used in one of the scenes of the much-talked-about movie, Akacalito.
The youth of Pakyi in the Ashanti were up in arms after scene Kyekyeku was supposedly heard in a particular scene describing Dr Likee and other cast of the movie as poor people from Pakyi.
According to the youth, the description was very unfair and quite insulting for which reason they felt Kyekyeku should apologize to them.
In less than 24 hours after they made the demand, Kyekyeku has responded and disclosed that he is very sorry if the youth felt he insulted them.
He however explained that he never insulted the people of Pakyi because it is something he will never do in this life, especially, when he comes from one Ashanti Bekwai, a town that is very close to Pakyi.
He added that what he actually said in the video that has been misconstrued by the youth of Pakyi is a term that is known as ‘Abon Pati’, which obviously sounds similar to the name of the town, Pakyi.
Notwithstanding the explanation, Kyekyeku emphasized that he was very sorry that the statement angered the people of Pakyi in the first place.
