Ghanaian musician and businessman, Nhyiraba Kojo was recently sentenced to a month in prison by the Sekondi Commercial High Court for contempt of court in a case filed by four residents of Fijai on noise from his nightclub.
Even though he was initially required to spend 30 days in prison, he ended up doing only 14 days of the total time because some evidence came out to suggest that he has indeed installed the soundproof system the court asked him to install.
Following his release, Nhyiraba Kojo has shared some details of his time at the prison.
According to the owner of NK City Night Clubs, the time he spent in prison felt like a blessing to him rather than a punishment as most of such sentences are intended for.

He disclosed that going to prison for two weeks gave him the opportunity to get a lot of rest, which is something he has not had for about eleven years.
Nhyiraba Kojo revealed that ever since he started his night club business with NK City Spintex some eleven years ago, the time he has spent sleeping each night is not more than four hours.
However, during his time in prison, he slept latest by 5 PM and woke up at 10 AM the following day during the whole period.
Nhyiraba added that this period of rest he has given to his body is something he cherishes so much and that no amount of money can give him that.
