In the course of an exclusive interview on the ‘Enjoyment Drive’ show with Monique Law, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, the CEO of Black Avenue Muzik and well-known as D-Black, opened up about his enduring bond with the acclaimed rapper, Sarkodie.
D-Black recounted how he has known Sarkodie even before becoming a global star.

“He’s cool, I’ve known him since I released my first album and he released his a year before, I think we met even before commercial success.
I used to live a street behind where he comes to record and that was where Edem and Kwaw Kese always recorded,” he said.
Reacting to the claims from other artists about Sarkodie not responding to texts or messages clarified that Sarkodie is very cool and has always come through for him.
“So he got into the industry first and I joined a year or two after and he’s just been cool, we’ve jammed on some four songs together.
I’ve asked him to do verses for my artistes and my producers, he’s done all of them, every single request he has come through and that’s the coolest friendship. Anytime he needs me I’m there and anytime I need him he is there,” he stated.
