The two identified in the court charge sheet as 18-year-old Patience Botwe (the first accused, A1) and 30-year-old unemployed Sarah Adjei (second accused, A2) are before the court along with three other accomplices.
The police investigator, Corporal Richard Anani, of the CID in his brief facts about the case stated the accused’s account of how they managed to steal the cash assorted clothes valued at GH¢95,000, handbags, perfumes, and jewelry worth US$95,000.
In the wake of the backlash on her because of the whooping amount of money, she was keeping in her house despite being a public servant, controversial entertainment enthusiast, and panelist, Mr. Logic, who is a known sympathizer of the NPP has come out to defend her.
In a post he made on his Facebook wall on Saturday morning, Mr. Logic said that it is only poor people who are attacking Hon. Cecilia Dapaah and her husband for having that whooping amount of money in their house.
He went on to ask the people attacking her why they are quick to label her as a thief when the money she had in the house was just one million dollars, which can only afford two cars for some people.
Mr. Logic made another post describing those attacking her and labeling her as a thief as foolish and poverty-stricken.
His comments have received a barrage of attacks on Facebook because some Facebook users believe that he is not being logical as his name says.
