The founder and leader of The People’s Project movement, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly called A Plus, has called for the arrest of Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1, the CEO of the former gold trading company, Menzgold.

A Plus made this call when he was speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, August 26. 2023, during a discussion about how Nana Appiah Mensah was trying to take an additional Ghc650 from the people who have their monies locked up with him.

According to A Plus, even though NAM1 is a very close friend of his, he strongly believes that the manner in which he has treated the people who decided to invest in his Menzgold business is criminal and must not be taken lightly.

He revealed that when NAM1 hatched the idea to bring in Payboy to take the Ghc650 from people who alleged that they had their funds locked up in Menzgold, he called to inform him about the idea, but he told him that he was busy preparing for a paper because he felt the former boss of Zylofon Media was talking nonsense.

The controversial entertainment pundit went on to question why NAM1 was still walking about as a free man when suspected fraudsters in developed countries would have been arrested.

“These things don’t happen only in Ghana, they occur in America on Wall Street, and they arrest the people. Why is it that someone who stole plantains or yams because he was hungry gets between 5 and 10 years in prison, but NAM1, who has stolen money from many people, is still free?
