In the wake of a near-death accident involving one of Rufftown Records’ most prominent artists, Wendy Shay, the record label’s CEO, Ricky Anokye, widely known as Bullet, has finally broken his silence on the persistent claims of occultism surrounding himself and the label.

The incident has raised eyebrows and revived discussions about the unfortunate fate that befell the late Ebony Reigns, another Rufftown Records artist, in February, 2018.

The recent incident occurred on Sunday, September 10, 2023, when Wendy Shay was involved in a car accident on the Kwabenya highway in Accra.

The accident took place around midnight and involved a collision between her Jeep Wrangler and a tipper truck, which hit Wendy’s car from behind.The impact of the crash was significant, causing extensive damage to Wendy Shay’s car.

However, miraculously, the celebrated songstress survived the heavy impart but got her nose broken according to an account given by Bullet.

In response to the incident and the talks on social media, Bullet, has felt compelled to address the recurring accusations of occultism that have haunted the label since the tragic passing of Ebony Reigns.

Bullet in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak show emphatically denied any involvement in occult practices, asserting that these claims are baseless and hurtful.

Instead, he revealed that he is currently seeking spiritual guidance and has turned to prayer, grappling with the inexplicable string of misfortunes that have befallen his label.

In an emotional statement, Bullet expressed his deep concern and confusion about the unfortunate incidents associated with Rufftown Records, stating that he cannot fathom why such calamities have struck the label.

He emphasized that his focus is now on the well-being of Wendy Shay and ensuring that she receives the necessary care and support during her recovery.
