Ghana’s sensational songstress, Francisca Gawugah, popularly known by her stage name Sista Afia, has made a bold statement, affirming that she is not succumbing to societal pressures to tie the knot.
The artist, who is soon turning 30, recently opened up about her views on marriage during an interview with Zionfelix on the Uncut show.
In the candid interview, Sista Afia made it abundantly clear that she is not feeling any pressure to walk down the aisle, not even from her own mother.
The songstress emphasized that her life choices, including the decision to get married, will be made on her own terms and timeline. “Not even my mother can force me to marry,” Sista Afia asserted during the interview.
Her firm stance on the matter sends a clear message that she is not swayed by external influences when it comes to her personal life choices.
What made Sista Afia‘s perspective even more fascinating is her revelation about her earlier plans regarding marriage and family.
According to her, when she was much younger, she had set a goal to be married by the time she turned 22 and to have all four of her children by the age of 28. However, life has a way of altering our plans as we grow, and Sista Afia is no exception.
As she approaches the milestone of turning 30, her priorities and aspirations have evolved. She no longer feels bound by the rigid timeline she had envisioned in her youth. Instead, she is focused on her burgeoning music career and personal growth, refusing to rush into a commitment as significant as marriage.
