In the age of social media, where trends come and go at lightning speed, one particular phenomenon that has captured the attention of netizens is the new craze about lookalikes in the Ghanaian entertainment space.

Some young men and women have emerged as doppelgangers of well-known figures like Medikal, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Ebony, and many others.

These lookalikes have taken the internet by storm, showcasing their astonishing abilities to mimic every aspect of the celebrities they resemble, from behavior and speech to their unique walk and sometimes even their fashion style.

While it might be abhorred by many of these celebrities in question, it appears some social media users are enjoying it, and as a result, these supposed lookalikes are having a field day.

Quite recently, the supposed lookalike association of Ghana unveiled one young lady who is supposedly the lookalike of Ghanaian screen goddess Nana Ama Mcbrown.

This fair-skinned young lady, who somehow has a few physical features that look like Nana Ama Mcbrown, was unveiled in a hilarious ceremony by Robest GH, the self-proclaimed King Promise lookalike.

After that viral unveiling, this lady has left no stone unturned, demonstrating her uncanny ability to impersonate the versatile Empress McBrown in various ways.

While Mcbrown has been silent on the whole development ever since it started about three months ago, the host of Onua TV’s Onua Showtime show finally broke her silence on her show, which aired on Friday, September 22, 2023.

Even though she didn’t explicitly mention her supposed ‘lookalike,’ her comments seemed to be directed at her because she mentioned the wearing of a school uniform, something the lady in question has done.

Nana Ama Mcbrown emphasized that anyone who was presenting herself as her lookalike should formally request permission before she could be officially recognized as a certified lookalike.

She playfully added that unless she personally selects you, you can never truly be like her.
