Following the sudden cancellation of Shatta Wale’s highly anticipated show in Wolverhampton, UK, the manager of the artist, Sammy Flex, has provided insights into the factors that led to this decision.
A lot of things have been said in the media space in the last few days after the management of the award-winning musician released a statement that the event was canceled barely a few days before the show.
In an exclusive interview with GHOne TV, Sammy Flex finally provided some exclusive details that caused the cancellation.
According to Sammy Flex, as they prepared for the show, Shatta Wale encountered a series of health challenges during his stay in the UK because of the weather difference; however, the leader of the Shatta Movement remained determined to connect with his loyal fans in Wolverhampton.
Sammy Flex elaborated, “while we were still in the preparatory phase, he fell ill, partly due to the unpredictable weather changes and the occasional cold and flu. As a result, he found himself physically weakened during this critical period.”
The CTV employee added that despite the setback, Shatta Wale was resolute in his commitment to not disappoint their dedicated fan base, and as such, they explored alternative solutions to ensure the show could go on.
He mentioned that it was during this deliberation that they, as team Shatta Wale, suggested a unique approach to making it easy on the sick artist by suggesting that the organizers airlift Shatta Wale to the venue via a helicopter to avoid all the stress that might come with traveling by road.
“He didn’t wish to endure the long and potentially strenuous journey from London City to Wolverhampton. We proposed airlifting him, a swift and efficient method that would take no more than 45 minutes. This way, he could take a much-needed rest and conserve his energy for the upcoming performance,” Sammy Flex explained.
However, despite this innovative proposal, the organizers did not readily embrace the idea. According to Sammy Flex’s account, the response of the organizers was “At this stage, we can’t do it.”
Sammy stressed that the decision of the organizers left them with no viable option but to cancel the highly anticipated concert, scheduled for November 4, 2023, in Wolverhampton.

It should be noted that earlier, the organizers of the concert, Bizzle Entertainment, expressed their astonishment and disappointment. They emphasized that they had received no prior communication from the Shatta Movement Empire regarding the cancellation. Bizzle Entertainment also pointed out that their agreement with Shatta Wale’s team stipulated a requirement for dialogue in the case of unforeseen circumstances or disputes before making public announcements.
Furthermore, Bizzle Entertainment confirmed their adherence to all contractual obligations, including the payment of an initial 50% deposit. In light of the sudden cancellation, they considered this a breach of the signed contract and are actively seeking an amicable resolution to address the financial and contractual implications of this turn of events.
