Rapper Kwesi Slay has signed a two year deal with Slay Nation Record label.
The record label owned by Ghanaian-born America-based businesswoman, Ayisah Modi signed the musician as its first artiste on July 6 this year. Ayisah speaking to Zionfelix.net about the contract said it is a 360 deal and will see the rapper become one of the biggest musicians in the country. According to her, the label will take charge of the musician’s management, distribution, production and other expenses.
On why she signed Kwesi Slay on the label on Slay Nation, Miss Modi revealed that “I was watching Youtube videos and one of his tracks was recommended to me so after listening to it, I felt like helping him so I approached him to make an offer and he agreed. But even before then, I prayed over the decision for a week before sending him a contract for him to sign.” She again mentioned that Kwesi Slay “has deep lyrics like Obrafour.”
Ayisah Modi, the CEO of Slay Nation record label has been in the music business for decades. She has in the past years produced renowned artistes like Obrafour, Ofori Amponsah, and many others.
Kwesi Slay recently released his new single called “Seven” which features BET Viewer’s Choice nominee, Kwesi Arthur.
