In the wake of the highly publicized apology video by Chef Smith, Amadia Shopping Center has released an official statement to react to it.

Chef Smith came out to apologize around midday on Saturday, July 6, 2024, after Amadia shopping Center caused his arrest on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, following a revelation that his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon was fraudulent and breach of their earlier contract.

The management of Amadia Shopping Center in their press statement expressed their disappointment and detailed their reaction.

Some of the key points from the press release includes Chef Smith’s admission to falsifying all processes and documentation related to his Guinness World Record attempt.

They subtly indicated that they were satuisfied with the apology and thanked the media, the Ghana Police Service and all Ghanaians who helped them to make their case.

Amadia Shopping Center however failed to indicate whether they were gioing to put an end to the current matter at the police station.
