The fierce feud between Ghanaian stars Sista Afia and Efia Odo has reignited with renewed intensity on social media, captivating fans with their fiery exchanges.
Their latest spat, which has escalated into a full-blown Twitter war, started when a fan shared a bikini photo of Sista Afia, which led a popular influencer to jokingly suggest it resembled Efia Odo.
Efia Odo, feeling insulted by the comparison, quickly demanded respect, sparking a swift retaliation from Sista Afia. Sista Afia hit back by labeling Efia Odo as an “industry machine,” a term loaded with implications about her alleged associations with multiple male artists. Efia Odo initially refrained from responding directly to this jibe.
In the latest development, on July 12, 2024, when a follower asked Efia Odo about the possibility of a physical confrontation, she responded with a sharp quip: “Pretty girls don’t fight, it’s the ones who look like gorillas that fight. They don’t have any looks to protect.” To emphasize her point, she posted a picture of a gorilla’s backside.
Not one to back down, Sista Afia took to social media to suggest that Efia Odo had bleached her skin, using some choice words in the process. She further accused Efia Odo of falsely claiming ownership of a high-end restaurant in East Legon, saying, “You be manager for someone en Restaurant you dey claim e bi your own. It’s okay hunny brand yourself ahhh.”
In a direct response, Efia Odo retorted, “You mad your keleweke joint broke down sis I’m a CEO and it ain’t nothing fake about that. Unlike your double bbl. Should’ve used that money to fix your face.” She ended her post with a Bible quote from Romans 12:19, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” She added, “I’m too classy for this filth, I’m done. A lot of people mad I’m doing better than them. Twitter fingers ain’t for me, get in the booth!”
The explosive back-and-forth has left fans divided. While some revel in the drama, others are calling for peace between the two stars.
This recent flare-up comes after a brief period of peace between Sista Afia and Efia Odo.
Their animosity dates back to 2019, when Sista Afia accused Efia Odo of sleeping with men for money, igniting a bitter social media feud. Efia Odo retaliated by body-shaming Sista Afia, leading to further escalations.
The tension between them nearly resulted in a physical altercation at TV3, which was later resolved with a public apology during a live reconciliation on United Showbiz in 2020. However, the truce was short-lived, and their relationship has remained volatile ever since.
