Actor Prince David Osei has defended Nana Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government over the hardship in Ghana.

For some time now, many Ghanaians have been complaining about hardship in the country.

Ghana’s President Nana Addo is always blamed when people complain about hardship.

Speaking at NPP’s manifesto launch, Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei was in his defensive mechanism for his party.

He stated that hardship is currently a global thing and not peculiar if Ghanaians are also experiencing it.

Osei thinks a vote for the NPP is for prosperity and growth.

He also argued that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) wouldn’t be a better alternative—so Ghanaians should vote for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP.

“I know times are hard, but it is global. The UK is just recovering from a recession, America is tough, Canada is tough, and our neighboring country Nigeria is equally tough. The alternative is not a solution. The alternative will send us into an abyss of disaster. Vote for progress, vote Bawumia, and vote Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the incoming president,” David Osei stated.

He further told Ghanaians to remember what the Nana Addo-led government did for them and businesses in the country during the outbreak of COVID-19.

“Let me take you down memory lane: we enjoyed free electricity, we enjoyed free water during the COVID pandemic era. Monies were given to people’s small-scale businesses; this is the kind of leadership we had and we are having. Bawumia taking over the baton is progress. I don’t want you to be deceived out there; the alternative has no solution for you. Vote for digitalisation,” the actor said.
