Rising Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Joel Ofori Bonsu, well-known as Olievtheboy, has made an interesting remark in a recent interview.

Speaking with B Ice on Agyenkwa FM which Zionfelix.net monitored, the ‘GoodSin’ singer said artistes should not fear stealing.

He explained that the best artists are the ones who take inspiration from the works of others, polish it and make it exceptional.

“You shouldn’t be afraid of picking from a culture and adding it to yours. It’s actually good to do stuff for your culture…promote your own culture, but you should try and refine what you have,” he advised.

The young artiste further said his colleagues should not be afraid of taking risks.

To him, risk-takers are bound to be successful and the same applies to the music business.

Olivetheboy further mentioned some of the things artistes have to do when striving for success.

Stressing on artistes being laidback, he thinks adding different ideas would be helpful.
