Popular Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has shared some exclusive details about why he decided to decline an offer from the flagbearer of Movement for Change political party, Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM, he disclosed that about three months ago, the former minister of Minister of Trade, Industry, Private Sector Development (PSD) and the Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI) called him and made the offer.

The award-winning musician added that when he walked into that meeting, Hon. Alan Kyeremanten made him of the ten things they considered before they decided to settle on him as their running mate.

Okyeame Kwame mentioned that among the things they pointed out were his strong business acumen, strong social media presence and many others.

OK indicated that while the offer looked very tempting and pampering, he felt it was not the right time to take the offer because he had not prepared his family, especially, his two teenage children for all the troubles associated with politics.

The “Insha Allah” hitmaker added that he felt that if he had had about a year to adequately prepare his family, then he would have considered the offer but since that was not the case, he had to decline.
