Ghanaian musician Jackline Acheampong, popularly known as Gyakie, has candidly shared her struggles with early career pressure in an interview with BBC Africa.

During the exclusive interview, the “Forever” hitmaker revealed that heightened expectations from fans and management to deliver consecutive hits often left her in tears.

“I would cry at home almost every three days because the pressure was too much,” she admitted, especially after her breakout hit “Forever” skyrocketed her to fame.

She added that being shouted at or pressured would overwhelm her emotionally.
