Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Member of Parliament for Ketu South Constituency, has today January 16, 2025 been named the Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts.
The announcement, made on January 16, 2025, was signed by the Acting Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
Mad. Dzifa Gomashie previously served as Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts from 2013 to 2017 under President Mahama’s administration.
With four decades of experience in the creative arts industry, Gomashie is recognized as a seasoned politician and creative arts expert.
As a two-term Member of Parliament for Ketu South Constituency, she has been instrumental in championing development and community support initiatives.
Academically, Abla Dzifa Gomashie holds an MPhil in African Studies from the Institute of African Studies. She also earned a diploma in Theatre Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Management from the University of Ghana.
Her extensive background in both politics and the creative arts positions her to effectively lead the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts.
