Renowned Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani publicly addressed his eye injury for the first time during a press conference held today, March 14, 2025, at the Berekum Palace.

Kofi Adomah while speaking recounted the harrowing incident that led to his injury.

During his address, Kofi Adomah broke into tears, especially when recalling the response of Mr. Vincent Opare, General Manager of Angel FM Accra, when questioned about the station’s support to him following the accident.

On the otherhand he expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Kwaku Oteng, owner of Angel FM, for his unwavering support during this challenging period.

He also extended heartfelt thanks to business mogul and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama, who went so far as to offer his private jet to assist during the ordeal.

Kofi Adomah acknowledged the immense support from his colleagues, including Afia Pokuaa and Nana Yaa Brefo, whose assistance was invaluable during his recovery.

He also thanked his wife, Nana Eturba aka Mrs Miracle Adomah, who happens to be a queen mother at Berekum, for her steadfast support throughout this trying time. Her unwavering presence and care were instrumental in his journey toward recovery.

It will be recalled that in January 2025, while covering an event in Dormaa, Bono Region, he was struck in the face by gunpowder during a traditional musketry display.

This mishap resulted in severe damage to one eye and affected his vision in the other. He was subsequently flown to Dubai for specialized medical treatment.
