Popular Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adomah has broken his silence about the eye injury he recently sustained, expressing deep disappointment in Dormahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, for neglecting him after the incident.
Speaking at a press conference today, March 14, 2025, in Berekum, Kofi Adomah recounted the painful ordeal he went through while covering the Dormahene’s 25th-anniversary celebration on the stool.
According to him, while he has received immense support from notable figures such as Dr. Kwaku Oteng and businessman Ibrahim Mahama, the Dormahene, in whose honor he was working when the unfortunate incident occurred, has not even made a simple phone call to check on his well-being.
Kofi Adomah, who hails from the Bono Region, did not hide his pain as he disclosed that it is not as though he was making this point because he expects any financial help from the Dormahene.
However, he stressed that a mere phone call from the revered chief would have assured him that his king cares about his plight.
As he made this painful remarks, he appearee to have further been hit harder by looking at the crowd gathered at the press conference.
He confessed that as he looked around the venue and saw the number of people present who were mostly clad in red and black, he was overwhelmed with sadness, realizing that it could have been his funeral instead of a presser.
“This could have been my funeral,” he stated, his voice heavy with emotion.
In December 2024, Kofi Adomah Nwanwani suffered a severe eye injury while covering the Dormaa Kwafie Festival in Dormaa Ahenkro, Bono Region. The incident occurred when a firearm discharged during the event, striking him in the face and causing significant damage to his eyes.
