WANTON CONFERMENT OF HONORARY DEGREES BY UNACCREDITED FOREIGN INSTITUTIONS
ACCRA, SEPTEMBER 4 2018. The National Accreditation Board (NAB) has noticed with great concern the spate of conferment of honorary degrees and professorial titles on some personalities by some unaccredited institutions, accredited institutions unqualified to award degrees on their own or other institutions with doubtful credentials.
The Board has been reliably informed that another of such unaccredited institution -RESCUE MISSION THEOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY has scheduled to confer such honorary degrees on some gullible and unsuspecting individuals. The Security Agencies have been alerted to arrest this worrying trend of institutions with doubtful and questionable existence coming into our Country to perform such ridiculous activities.

Global Centre for Transformational Leadership
World Council for Evangelical Clergy
Peristrofi Word Honorary International
King of Kings World Foundation

The National Accreditation Board by this statement is advising all foreign tertiary education institutions with the intent to confer any academic awards on personalities in Ghana to seek its initial approval. Further, we wish to reiterate our resolve and commitment to work with the security agencies and all stakeholders to put a stop to these embarrassing and worrying activities by these unscrupulous groups, which cast a slur or disdain on our international reputation.
