Akpene Diata Hoggar, the rep from the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana was left joyous as she emerged the winner of the 2018 edition of the Miss Universe Ghana pageant.
Akpene Diata Hoggar is a model, blogger, and an entrepreneur who also aspires to become a global change agent. She was part of the final ten contestants who survived the numerous tests out of the over 200 ladies who started the competition a few weeks ago.
She will have the only ticket to represent Ghana at this year’s Miss Universe international pageant slated for December this year at Thailand and she is also currently the proud owner of a new car which the ultimate prize for the competition.
The runner-up to Akpene Diata Hoggar was Vanessa Tekor Akuetteh, a budding paralegal and a model, who mounted the stage on behalf of the Western Region.

The event was organized by Maltz Promotions, led by Menaye Donkor, who is a former winner of the competition herself and wife of the Ghanaian international footballer Sulley Muntari and it took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
