Ghanaian Fund Managment company, Gold Coast has planned to run after Ghanaian celebrities who are making enough money but are failing to invest their earnings.

The company in a press meeting on Monday, September 18 evening at its headquarters in Accra said it has realised that Ghanaian celebrities have not inculcated the habit of investing parts of money they obtain in return of their services. The CEO of the company, Mr. Kwame Asomaning addressing the press which included zionfelix.net mentioned that most Ghanaians are not educated about investment so believes that has made entertainers fail to put their earnings into investments.

Mr. Asomaning further said his outfit has plans of chasing Ghanaian celebrities to educate them on investing in order to help them in the future. According to him, most celebrities in their heydays fail to put parts of their earnings into financial schemes and later beg for help. To him, this sad development is not good for the creative arts industry hence the decision of Gold Coast to approach entertainers in the country to educate them on why they need to invest.

“In Ghana, investmemnt education needs to be intensified. You have celebrities who are not investment conscious, they have litle knowledge about investment so it is our duty to reachout to them, educate them and make sure that the cash they make will come into the investment world for their own future. We have seen some celerities who were making cash sometime back and because they did not get any investment advisory support, the monies runout within a short period of time.” he told zionfelix.net

According to him, Gold Coast started a policy with the Musicians Union of Ghana, MUSIGA but the plan did not go as expected so they halted the operation. He quickly added that they can revisit the scheme and make sure musicians in Ghana invest their earnings at the right place.
