“President Akuffo-Addo has so far disappointed Ghanaians a lot since he took over as the head of state in Ghana”, this is the verdict and rating of Kumawood actor, Sylvester Agyapong aka Sly, a known affiliate of the opposition NDC, on the NPP government led by President Akuffo-Addo since they took over power in 2017.
According to the actor, H.E Akuffo-Addo has failed miserably on the security front as president. He makes the point that people are being robbed and killed daily and nothing happens because the security agencies are relenting and sleeping on the jobs since the president is not putting them on their toes. He cited the many vigilante attacks as a critical example to back his case.
Sly also added that the decision to build a national cathedral by the president is one he considers as very unnecessary. He emphasized that aside the decision being unnecessary, it was not even in the NPP manifesto for starters and as such, the president should not waste the resources of the nation to build one.
The ‘Abusuyefo’ actor, however, admitted that the Free Senior High School policy which has been rolled out is a good thing but he feels the manner in which they did it was totally wrong. He stressed that because President Akuffo-Addo was hell burnt on implementing it way back in 2008, he thought it was going to be smoothly implemented but that was never the case.
