The CEO of Kofas Media, Kofi Asamoah at an emergency press conference organised for the actor ahead of the Away Bus movie shoot has stated that the decision from his camp and that of Peter Sedufia of Old Film to bring back Ghanaian movie legend Agya Koo on the screens through their upcoming sensational drama film titled “Away Bus” is basically to revive the dying Ghana movie industry.

Speaking at the press conference which was monitored by zionfelix.net, Kofi Asamoah stated that they took the decision because they realized that it’s about time they woke up and gave respect and the due diligence to the people who have helped the industry to survive, and one of such people is Agya Koo.

He also stressed that decision to add Agya Koo as a cast was not just because he was is a very fantastic actor but he is a legend who will lead the crusade to revive the industry just as he did in the early 2000s when he was introduced by legendary movie director and producer, Samuel Nyamakye.

Agya Koo, on his part also promised to live up to the expectations but called on Ghanaians to support their movie with the prayers and patronize them as well.

Aside Agya Koo “Away Bus” also features some top Ghanaian actors including John Dumelo, Fella Makafui, Tracey Boakye, Rosemond Brown, Mikki Osei Berko, Patricia Opoku-Agyeman, Kalybos, Yaw Dabo, Big Akwes and a few others.

The movie will premiere at Silverbird Cinemas in Accra on April 20 and will be premiered in other regions across the country.
