Shatta Movement President, Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale is certainly not the favorite person of many people now after he decided to unceremoniously storm the VGMA stage when his ‘rival’ Stonebwoy was pronounced the winner of the Reggae/Dancehall category at the 2019 VGMA.
Speaking after the brouhaha with Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show, Ghana’s gospel reggae king and frontliner, Akesse Brempong stated that Shatta Wale did not really try and that his decision to storm the stage was way below the belt.
He added that maintaining some level of decorum when issues come up is very important and as such he felt that the “My Level” hitmaker could have done all the people who were at the dome of the AICC a lot of good if he had not moved onto the stage to supposedly congratulate Stonebwoy for winning the award.
The “Alright” singer ended by stating in the interview that it is a big shame to see the 20th anniversary of the prestigious Vodafone Ghana music awards witness such chaos.
