Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Epixode has opened up on what transpired in a video which he was struggling with some police officers.

Speaking in an interview with Sammy Flex which was monitored by zionfelix.net, the ‘Crazy Love’ composer disclosed a misunderstanding ensued between them but they later solved it out.

“We were stopped by the police around 11-12 am on our way back from a meeting in Tema. I don’t really know Tema so most of the time we end up using the map. My manager was the one driving. They gave us signals for some time but we couldn’t stop on time…we were trying to make it to a studio around East Legon. They started questioning my manager, asked for the necessary documents of which we provided. They were back and forth for some time while I was sitting in the car. We were not over speeding but we were using a DV number plate. I went out of the car when I heard the police shouting at my manager.

“Tempers were high at that time but there was no physical attack. I got pissed because we provided everything that they asked but they still refused to let us go. Later, I became submissive and everything was solved there, so I was surprised the video went viral within just a few hours,” he narrated.

Expixode also lamented how some security officials badly treat people with dread locks.

“The police prejudge when they see people in dreadlocks before they even ask questions. Some time ago the police searched my car for about 30 minutes without finding anything, they later asked me to open my bonnet. After I obliged, they told me they are charging me for a dirty bonnet,” Epixode revealed.

The dancehall artiste further stated how he will do anything to defend his fans or people who are close to him.
