Ghanaian musician cum politician, A Plus has saluted the President Akuffo-Addo led government for the implementation of the ‘Year of Return’ initiative despite being a key critic of the government.
In a Facebook post zionfelix.net sighted, he stated that Ghana has achieved international recognition as a home for blacks all over the world and he personally thinks it is one of the very few good things that has happened since President Nana Akufo Addo became president.
A Plus also argued that all the people who were involved in the planning and perfect execution of the initiative should be given national awards.
He wrote: “According to the Ghana Tourism Authority, Government spent about 6.3 million Ghana cedis on the year of return campaign. That is a very small amount, in my opinion, considering the immense benefit of Ghana as a nation has gotten from the program. The year of return is a very good initiative that must be jealously guarded by every Ghanaian irrespective of our political affiliations.
When the government spends on productive ventures like this, some of us will commend and support you. With a little over a million dollars, Ghana has achieved international recognition as a home for blacks all over the world. I personally think it is one of the very few good things that has happened since HE Nana became president. I even wish that all those involved in planning and execution of this program be given national awards.
Now that we all know the value of 6.3 million Ghana cedis and how beneficial it can be to our nation, it is very important, that we chase whoever stole tricycles worth about 20 million Ghana cedis belonging to SADA. That money can be invested into another year of return or other productive ventures like providing portable water for many communities in the SADA area where human beings and animals drink from the same pond.
I’m hoping that the president won’t find a way to clear those involved as he always does. This president diɛ ɛnso no yɛ. Deputy Yesu – he came for sinners. He is merciful towards sinners. Father Christmas. Ehumbɔbrɔ agya. The good samaritan. ɔkyɛ adiɛ Nana. He can clear better than Mahama clearing weeds. “We have the men we have the men” but he clears and reassigns the few criminals to different post. Sometimes I am tempted to believe that the so called men they claim to have vanished with the Guinea fowls to Burkina Faso.
