Wendy Shay Blasts FDA After Losing A Deal Worth Thousands Of Dollars

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in 2015, banned Ghanaian celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages as an adherence to a World Health Organization (WHO) policy.

According to the authority, the ban was part of efforts to ensure that minors are protected from being lured into alcoholism.

However, after reneging on the enforcement of the law for some time, they started a serious campaign this year and it seems already Ruftown Records signed musician, Wendy Shay has been hit hard.

The musician is not happy after losing huge sum money on a foreign deal.

Wendy Shay in a tweet sighted by zionfelix.net blasted the FDA for instituting the law that bans Ghanaian artists from advertising for alcoholic beverages.

According to her, the enforcement of the law is taking food from their table by binding them with such a law.

She wrote: ‘I just lost a deal worth 1000s‘ of dollars with this foreign alcohol company..I didn’t know in GH Celebrities can’t advertise for alcoholic beverages according to FDA. Like Seriously?! ‬ ‪Small food we go chop too u wan take 4rm our mouth. Gh celebs wake up !!FDA Lift dat ban!!‬’
