The father of late Ghanaian female musician, Ebony Reigns has appealed to authorities in the country to declare February 16 as Ebony Jollof Rice day.
Nana Opoku Kwarteng made the appeal in an interview with Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut Show’.
Starboy Kwarteng, as he is affectionately called said his late daughter deserves to be celebrated.
He stressed on how important immortalizing Ebony is dear to his heart.
Nana Opoku stated that if he would have his way, he would have declared February 16 as a day to mark ‘Ebony Jollof Rice Day’.
Currently, he is preparing towards a memorial birthday party which will be held in honour of the late Ebony on February 16 at his house in Dansoman, Accra.
The late Ebony’s father stated he is expecting about 300 people for this year’s memorial birthday party.
He concluded that any child who will eat Jollof of February 16 will be blessed.
