Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong, popularly known as Becca has finally broken her silence on the sad demise of her mother, Madam Julie Yiadom-Oti.
The news about the sad demise of Becca’s mom surfaced online earlier in the day.
It started as one of those unconfirmed Instagram gossips by a blogger on IG called Cutie Julls.
However, as the story of Madam Julie’s demise started to get a lot of attention online, popular Ghanaian blogger and lawyer, Chris-Vincent Agyapong also confirmed the sad news on his page with the post which read: “This is really sad. She actually messaged me on New Year and we spoke during the Christmas holidays. She even sent a parcel of gifts to my home address in the U.K. and I told her when I return from Ghana I will come and see her to thank her properly. And now she is gone like that? Now Becca, what would you say to yourself? Following my interview with her, she became like a mother—always checking on me. Well, after over 10 hours, the singer has finally gathered the courage to react to the news of the sad death of her biological mother.
Becca took to Instagram to share a message and blocked all her followers from commenting.
Becca’s post seen by zionfelix.net reads:
“One of the darkest days of my life.
I just lost My mom… Madam Julie Oti following a very brief illness.
This shock and pain is unbearable and the family would like to beg for understanding and respect of our privacy during this difficult time to moan.”
