Before the Guinness Book of Records officially confirms if Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s attempt at breaking the current world record for an individual’s longest singing marathon, the journalist and event organiser has taken to social media to put out some records she believes she has broken already.
Afua’s attempt to break the record set by Sunil Waghmare, an Indian who sang for 105 hours in March 2012, started at dawn on December 24, 2023 and ended on Thursday, December 28, 2023, after she had sang about 120 Ghanaian songs for over 126 hours.

Per the workings of the Guinness Book of Records, Afua and her team has to submit their evidence of their attempt to the body for proper investigation to be done before they can either confirm or deny any claims that she is the current world record holder.
This process per the information gathered takes some time, unless, the individual pays some money for express service — something Afua Asantewaa has announced she won’t do.
While the process is ongoing, Afua took to Facebook to share six records she believes she has already broken and set new ones.
