For weeks now, one song that has become the favorite of a lot of music lovers in Ghana is ‘Alomo Dzata’.
The song which happens to be a refix of Noble Adu Kwasi’s ‘Akwankwaa Hiani’ was released on various music streaming platforms on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
The refix went viral after the composer of the song dropped a dance video on Youtube that had a young man show off some pretty beautiful leg works as he danced to the song.
While a lot of people have been enjoying the song mainly because of the unique and mysterious voice behind the refix, it appears that a lot of people have no idea the face behind the said voice.
Well, the artiste behind the viral ‘Alomo Dzata’ refix is called Aligata, who happens to be a reggae, dancehall, and afrobeats musician.
Aligata has been releasing freestyles and his own songs over the years.
For people who love refix, he is the same voice behind ‘Gbemiwaa’, a freestyle of Stonebwoy’s ‘Gidigba’ which talks about the poor state of the economy in Ghana.
Amid the buzz he has created now with his latest freestyle, Aligata spoke on Metro TV’s Exclusive show and disclosed that he never thought that the refix was going to be this big.
He added that as soon as he released how big the refix has become, he quickly reached out to Noble Adu Kwasi to inform him about what he did on his original song ‘Akwankwaa Hiani’.
Aligata mentioned that the veteran Highlife musician had no knowledge about the whole thing but gave him his full blessing and prayed for him as well.
He added that there are plans to sit with Noble going forward to sort out a few things to make sure there are no copyright infringements in the future.
