The body of Christian Atsu will be arriving in Ghana tonight.
Atsu, a popular Ghanaian footballer, met his untimely death in Turkey following an earthquake.
The Hatayspor FC player went missing for days before his body was recovered on Saturday, February 18.
His family, the government and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will receive his remains in Accra on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 7:40 pm.

This was disclosed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in a statement.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, and we pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Christian Atsu,” the Ministry ended its statement.
Earlier, Christian Atsu’s agent, Nana Sechere, pleaded for the family’s privacy to be respected during this difficult time.
