Kwame Owusu Daaqua, Obaapa Christy’s manager seems to know why Charterhouse, organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards organised a press conference on Friday, February 10 to react to George Quaye’s bribery claim against gospel musician.
Speaking to Franky5 on Hitz FM’s This Is Gospel entertainment show, he revealed that a board had a closed-door meeting with gospel musicians to look at how they can come together and react to the bribery allegation levelled against them.
He added that president of Gospel Musicians Association called Executive Director of Charterhouse, Mrs Theresah Ayoade on Thursday, February 9 to express their complete disgust on the issue pleading with her to find time for them to meet and discuss how to solve the problem.
Mr. Danqua added that both agreed to meet on Tuesday, February 14 but Charterhouse hurriedly organised “an unplanned” press conference on Friday, February 10 to and apologise and disassociate themselves from George Quaye’s comment.
Kwame Owusu Danqua was optimistic that Charterhouse held the premature press conference because of the meeting president of Gospel Musicians Association planned to have with them.
