The Chief Executive Officer of EIB Network, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, and the Empire foundation on Saturday donated several items to the SOS Children’s Village in Tema.
Bola Ray was joined by friends for the exercise which is in its 7th year.
Management of the SOS Village were elated and described the donation as a show of love that can’t be measured.
It was all smiles on the faces of the children at the home who said even though they have several visits throughout the year, they always yearn to see Bola Ray come around with his gifts.
Radio and TV Presenters and friends of Bola Ray took turns to encourage the children to aspire for greater heights as they stick to their books and eliminate fear from all dealings.
They were, however, encouraged to respect and seek advice in challenging moments.
Speaking to Starr News’ Osei Owusu Amankwaah, Bola Ray said “it is the love. If you see the numbers here; every year it grows. We put it out there and friends come along with items to donate; that alone is satisfactory. The kids know they have not been left alone. There are people there who think about them, show them love and pray for them. That alone is enough.”
“In all we all should never give out of abundance. You have to feel it when you give,” he added.
He further encouraged the general public to adopt the act of giving and support the less privileged to create a better society.
Empire foundation have in the past donated a car and adopted a house at the SOS Village last year.
Bola Ray added that, the team is hoping to refurbish the football pitch of the Village in future.
The team donated, assorted drinks, cooking ingredients, boxes of water, boxes of noodles among other items.
