Bosomtwe International School, a school owned by Ibrahim Oubda, is set to celebrate their open day on. May 12, 2019.
Since 2010, the school has been embarking on a charity project with free education for the nearby village kids to a non-profit school offering a Primary and JHS program + physical education under the roofing of the Ibrahim Oubda Education Foundation.

In the near future, the school intends to board JHS students from other regions and to enlarge the school up to the SHS level. A second storey building is already planned to complete the facilities on the campus.
In addition to the Ghana curriculum, Bosomtwe International School teaches French as a foreign language and Physical Education (athletics, ball sports, and gymnastics) throughout all grades, starting in grade 1.
Other school activities of Bosomtwe International School includes homework supervision, a music club, cultural dance, and a reading club.
They have small classes, up to max. 10 – 15 students and our colorful classrooms are equipped with learning technologies like laptops, computers, serving as research tools, learning videos or video games and lego, which is mainly used at the Lower Primary to develop their thinking, concentration, and creativity.
The library is well equipped and offers puzzles, games, story and textbooks, dictionaries, etc. A computer lab completes the facilities where already grade 1 student are taught “scratch” and how to use computers or laptops properly.
Internet and wireless networks, as well as the power supply, are at times still a challenge in the rural environment of the school and the road conditions did also not support to bring kids from far.
The goal of BIS is to educate open-minded and team-oriented students with a profound background understanding, which will allow them to focus on positive changes and development in the country.
The school motto is Respect – Knowledge – Independence, reflecting the child-centered education BIS provides.
A sound balance between mind and body is one of the key goals of BIS’ education.
