The statement also added that his assistant coach, Johnson Smith would take over as the first-team coach on an interim basis.
The major reason for his sack was not stated in the letter but it is likely that his sack was influenced after they lost 1-0 at home to Great Olympics in an outstanding Ghana Premier League game on Thursday night.
Konadu, who won the league with Kotoko in 2012, was re-appointed in December 2019, for a new three year term.
The club has only managed one win in four games this season, but it is the performances, largely uninspiring, that have forced management to act.
The Porcupine Warriors have a busy next 8 days in which they visit Dreams on 20th December, host Al Hilal in the CAF Champions League on December 23, and conclude with a busy schedule with a trip to Medeama on December 27.
