The nomination of gospel musician Joseph Oscar Mettle, who is affectionately called Joe Mettle for ‘Artiste of The Year’ in this year’s edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Award has received a lot of mixed feelings in the entertainment.
While some people are of the opinion that he fully deserves the nomination, others are of the opinion that he does not merit it. The musician has however finally stated publicly that his works under the year in review, 2018, affirms that he deserved the nomination.
Speaking on Accra FM’s popular mid-morning show with Nana Romeo (Welewele) in his hot seat as host, the ‘Mehia Wo Yesu’ singer questioned people who are up in arms that he had the nomination on what they can do about it since it is too late in time for that now.
The VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ winner in 2017 tells them that if they feel that he is not worthy of the nomination, the best thing they can do know will be to vote massively for the people they feel deserve the award so that he will not be able to win.

Joe Mettle also revealed that the people who are going about making such comments do not really know the amount of work he has done in the year under review. He stressed that if his team decides to put out the work they did out there, all the people who feel this were will hush.
