Robert Klah, the Head of Communications and Public Events at Charterhouse Productions, has reacted to the question of why DopeNation was not nominated for the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Amid the brouhaha surrounding the duo’s seeming nomination snub, Klah opened up about the reason in an interview on Hitz FM.
He explained that even though DopeNation had a popular song ‘Zormizor’ in the year under review, they did not file for nomination.
Robert Klah further indicated that they couldn’t get consent for nomination.

“One would expect that on a platform like this, in the year under review their place will certainly be established. Unfortunately when there was no filing and we tried to reach out for consent, we couldn’t get it,” he said.
Meanwhile, DopeNation did not give an accurate response about whether they filed for nomination or not when asked by DJ Slim a few days ago.
In an X post, DJ Slim asked: “I’m hearing, u guys didn’t file for nominations and when the research team picked up your songs sef , you guys were not responsive to the award scheme . How true is this?”
Responding to the question, DopeNation said: “We have been battling a lot that can’t be said out of Respect for some people in this hypocritical Music Space. However, can we all recall from 2021? Maybe some of us will know this is not just about Awards Sir. Gradually this industry will be loosing its “TRUE ARTISTS”.”
