After a lengthy conversation on why none of the six Zylofon Media signees was listed among the several musicians expected to rock this Saturday’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, citifmonline.com reported that the Nana Appiah Mensah-owned entertainment company demanded a whopping sum of Gh200,000 from organisers of the awards.
According to the website, the amount Zylofon Media mentioned when Charterhouse, organisers of the awards approached them to book the dancehall musician made them rescind their decision of billing the ‘Dancehall King’ hitmaker for the final night.
Whilst many are questioning if indeed Charterhouse made an effort to bill Shatta Wale despite the insults he hurled at them years back, others are also asking if Zylofon Media also demanded Gh200,000 as performance fee before allowing their signee to mount the big stage of the 2018 VGMAs.
Well, the public needs an answer to these questions but all the two entertainment powerhouses are not willing to give replies.
On Hitz FM’s News @ 1 on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, George Quaye, PRO for Charterhouse said he was not willing to confirm or deny the Gh 2000, 000 fees as reported. He added that the news team should contact Zylofon Media for verification because his business ethics ban him from disclosing details of such issues.
“You know I don’t discuss personal information publicly. If you speak to Zylofon, they might be willing to comment but I’ll not. I don’t know where Citi FM got their information from so you should speak to Zylofon.” Mr. Quaye said.
Hitz at @ 1 news anchors, MzGee and Ibrahim after George Quaye’s comment communicated to listeners which included we at Zionfelix.net that Zylofon Media’s PRO, Samuel Atuobi Baah aka Sammy Flex when contacted also refused to comment on the alleged Gh200,000 his outfit demanded from Charterhouse before releasing their artiste, Shatta Wale to entertain patrons at the event happening at the Accra International Conference Center.
